The LS3 started with the 5th generation Camaro SS and C6 corvette while the LS7 in the Corvette Z06 and Z/28. Ranging from 430hp (LS3) to 505hp (LS7) the LS crate engines are a living legend. Give new life to your pro-touring ride with an LS and updated transmission.

LT CRATE ENGINES

If you love power, the LT family is probably what we need to talk about in your swap. Introduced on the C7 Corvette the LT Crate engines now available in 3 variations. LT1 (460 hp), LT4 (650 HP) and the new LT5 (755 hp). These engines are available with either the 8L90E or T56 Super Magnum transmissions.

T56 SUPER MAGNUM - 6-SPEED MANUAL

The Tremec 6-speed manual transmission is an after-market version of the TR-6060 that can be found in many of todays most popular muscle cars from the Challenger to the Camaro. The Tremec Magnum is the go-to for most professional car builders and road-racers. With the ability to withstand 700 Lb-Ft of torque and short shift patterns, this is super-car tech, for the ultimate pro-touring build.

6L80 E Automatic Transmission

6L80E 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC

For use on the LS and LSX crate engine, the 6L80E is a great choice for most pro-touring rides. Featuring a high 4.02:1 first gear, the 6L80E provides strong launch performance, while a 0.67 6th gear provides for optimal highway use. Supporting up to 650 lb-ft of torque, this transmission is built tough.

8L90 8-SPEED AUTOMATIC

The 8L90E is designed for the LT family of engines. (LT1, LT4, LT5). One of the many benefits of choosing an LT based engine for your swap is the exclusive access to this 8-speed automatic. With a high first gear and an overall 1.0: ratio, this is a great transmission for both the occasional track days or Sunday cruses. This is the ultimate choice when upgrading your 69 pro-touring Camaro.
